FOR THE SMALLEST AND BIGGEST OF JOBS

WELDING

Porfan Metalwork has been fabricating for clients across West London for over 26 years. A big part of this is welding, and we are specialised in all necessary forms of welding.

MMA (Arc Welding):
Uses welding electrodes as a means of joining metals. Simplest form of welding and is portable so this is usually what is done on-site as well.
Welds: Mild Steel, Cast Iron and Stainless Steel.

MIG (Metal Inert Gas):
Uses a spool of welding wire, which allows for very fine and clean welding, this is what we use in our workshop.
Welds: Mild Steel, Thin and Sheet Metals.

TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas):
A more exotic form of welding. Uses Tungsten electrodes that melts a filler metal into a joint. Very slow and intricate welding process but provides the best quality weld of any method. Perfect for non-ferrous metals. This is what we use on the most sensitive sites (such as those with finished flooring) as it doesn’t result in a huge mess.
Welds: All: Sheet metal, Mild Steel, Stainless Steel, Brass and many other exotic non-ferrous metals.

Renting professionals:
Porfan Metalwork is able to provide you a welder or two for a day, we can charge per hour or per day whichever is more convenient to you.

Passing Trade:
Got something small that doesn’t require a full commission? Need a panel for your sentimental antique chair, or a bracket for your TV? Bring it down to our workshop in Park Royal where we can always accommodate passing trade and can usually finish on the same day.
